Philadelphia Senior Center and host sponsor EXIT REALTY “The Waterfront Group” present PSC's signature fundraiser, the “5th Annual Coffee Cup Art Exhibition and Reception,” at Philadelphia City Hall on Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
The exhibition features functional pottery, culinary-themed mixed media, and handmade jewelry by artists from Philadelphia Senior Center, the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial and the Clay Studio, as well as photographs from Russ Hickman Photography.
The reception includes hors d'oeuvres, wine from Blue Mountain Winery, beer from Philadelphia Brewing Company, and a silent auction. Petit French pastries will be provided by Sofitel Philadelphia Luxury Hotel. Live music will be provided by the Samantha Rise Roberson Quartet. Coaches vs. Cancer seeks your support at the Bowl for a Cure fundraiser on Friday, June 13, 2008. Please join us after work at North Bowl Lounge and Lanes in Northern Liberties. In addition to bowling, your registration includes an open bar, appetizers, dinner and a gift. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit cancer research.
The Sport Management Graduate Program at Drexel University has joined the City Six schools to raise money for Coaches vs. Cancer during the inaugural Bowl for the Cure event.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. This program empowers coaches, their teams, and local communities to fight cancer. More than 500 Division I, II, and III college coaches and more than 100 high school coaches are involved with this program and have helped to raise nearly $40 million since its inception in 1993.

Please join us for the Inaugural Craig Connelly Golf Challenge benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
This tournament is in honor and memory of Craig Connelly, longtime member and friend of the Philadelphia Sport and Social Club. During his courageous two year fight with cancer, Craig always kept a positive attitude towards beating his disease. Craig lost his battle on December 1, 2007 at the age of 39.
The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) unites people through programs and experiences to empower cancer survivors to live life on their own terms and to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. The LAF focuses on cancer prevention, access to screening and care, research and quality of life for cancer survivors.
The tournament will be an 18 hole scramble. Sign up as an individual or a foursome. Price of the event includes light breakfast, BBQ lunch and prizes.
We will also be raffling and auctioning off items with all proceeds going to the LAF. |
